Introducing a new tax called music tax for loud blaring music is not a bad idea. Make it mandatory that the music is to be produced with not more than four instruments. In case the decibel level crosses the threshold of decency, 10% of gross earnings should be charged as tax. Also, advance release of music cassettes/videos of forthcoming films must be covered under this category.
A new tax to film producers termed as location tax is another wonderful option. This tax is easy to pay. If the exposed portion of the body of an artist is less than 30%, then this tax becomes applicable. The tax amount payable will depend upon the number of performers and the number of seconds’ duration. Just imagine how much we might have earned during the IPL cricket match by taxing the Cheerleaders!
Instead of wasting money on family plan campaigns, the best way to prevent it and fetch some money is to introduce an offspring tax for those with more than two children. A person’s 5% of the assessed income to be paid per child if he has more than two children.
